I attempt to intervene in my gravels defense, but my father punched me in the face, rending his belt from his trousers and began tanning me with the buckle as I tried to back out into the kitchen. My mother came to my rescue pushing my father through the glass panel of the sliding door that guide from the kitchen into the backyard. That was the last quantify I saw my father for sevensome years. I went through a violent stage where I emulated my fathers teaching of what being a man was; choosing a life-style that most assuredly was going to arena me in prison or even worse, a cemetery.
